The LONG route promises to be a test of pure resilience: 200 kilometers of white roads, gravel, and mud, with a vertical gain exceeding 6.600m+. From the Modenese valleys to touching the clouds on the ridges, every pedal stroke is a confrontation with oneself.
For the long route, a "refreshing beer" is planned at the Lo Spigolino refuge.
The SHORT route is reserved for those who decide to depart from Fanano on the morning of Sun-day, May 31, and return to Fanano by evening. It features the Cimone loop, touching Pian Cavallaro and Fiumalbo.
SHORT racing route. If you're looking to ride through villages frozen in time and conquer iconic Apennine climbs, then our asphalt route is perfect for you. It starts and finishes in Fanano, with a charming up-and-down ride along isolated secondary roads in between. This mileage/elevation gain ratio is rarely achieved by those accustomed to asphalt. The challenging Gaiato climb, the picturesque Frassineti, and Brandola Castle await you!
